Export Program


Export marketing activities play an important role in building awareness of Oregon as a world class wine producing region, and supporting sales and distribution in key export markets.  The funding structure is unique in that the Oregon Wine Board, as part of the Northwest Wine Coalition, receives a grant from the US Department of Agriculture’s Market Access Program.


The Export Committee meets three times a year and is open to any winery reps interested in participating.  The committee has identified Japan, Canada, and the UK as the three primary export markets and the majority of funding goes to activities that support sales and distribution in these markets.


Activities in 2008 include an Oregon "Portfolio" Tasting in London in January, promotional activities in Osaka and Tokyo in March, and the London Wine Fair in May.  Summertime means inbound buyer and journalist tours; we bring more of them here every year.
