Join Chemeketa Cellars at the Northwest Wine Studies Center for our third annual Nouveau release party! Beaujolais Nouveau is a red wine made from Gamay in the Beaujolais region of France to celebrate the end of harvest. Nouveau is traditionally released on the third Thursday of November every year at festive release parties and is meant to be consumed immediately after bottling. The ticket price of $20 ($15 for wine club members) includes tastings of Nouveau from six local wineries along with individually-boxed charcuterie and live music. The Chemeketa Cellars tasting room will also have wine for sale by the glass and bottle. Mingle with Wine Studies students and local wineries pouring Nouveau, learn about the Nouveau tradition, and enjoy a relaxing evening of lively jazz and wine and food pairings.
For the health and safety of our guests, we are limiting the size of the event to 75 guests (21 and over) and we ask that masks be worn when not actively eating or drinking. COVID protocols will be in place, including adequate air flow, spacing and the use of our large indoor and outdoor space. The tasting room patio will be tented and heated.
