Experience Oregon’s Air, Sea & Soil
About an hour outside of Portland, in the heart of the Willamette Valley and surrounded by hundreds of wineries, sits McMinnville
. From there you and your guest will experience Oregon’s air, sea, soil and character.
Coeur de Terre winemaker Scott Neal will tour you above the stunning vineyards of the Willamette Valley in his private plane, explaining the geology, climate and diverse AVAs that make this valley one of the most celebrated wine growing regions in the world. From the valley, you will fly out to the Pacific Ocean to enjoy lunch at the Stephanie Inn, an Oregon Wine A-List Award winner on the oceanfront in Cannon Beach. Executive chef Aaron Bedard will prepare a private wine pairing feast focused on Oregon’s fall bounty. Next, you’ll return to Coeur de Terre for a winery and vineyard tour with owner and winemaker Scott Neal.
Rest and recharge in the Willamette Valley’s newest luxury digs, the independently owned and operated Atticus Hotel in downtown McMinnville. While the hotel’s 36 rooms are new – and incidentally no two exactly alike – the project and people involved share deep local roots.
While in McMinnville, enjoy a dinner for two at The Barberry, another Oregon Wine A-List Award winner. Their menu of local and seasonal ingredients pairs perfectly with their deep Oregon wine list.
Up the road in Dundee you’ll meet cheesemaker Sarah Marcus of the award-winning Briar Rose Creamery to taste and learn about artisanal cheese production.
And to ensure your stay shares a strong diversity of wine and winemaker personalities, you’ll also enjoy the Eola-Amity VIP Experience, intimate tours of six Eola-Amity Hills wineries with tastings, winemaker meet and greets, a decadent luncheon, and behind-the-scenes access.
You and your guest will fly to Oregon and back in comfort and style courtesy of Alaska Airlines. And when it’s time to head home, as hard as that will be, remember that Oregon Wines Fly Free on Alaska airlines so be sure to fill up a case.
