Oregon Tempranillo “Raising the Temp!”

About this Event

Vidon Vineyard is excited to host the first annual Oregon Tempranillo “Raising the Temp!” event, a wine tasting event with ten Oregon Tempranillo producers from noon – 4 p.m. at Old School House in Newberg on Saturday, November 6th. “Raising the Temp!” will provide an opportunity for consumers and producers to connect in a lively setting, celebrating Oregon Tempranillo wine, local vintners, chefs, artisans and live music from jazz duo, Bass n’ Drums. Tempranillo is a black grape variety widely grown to create full-bodied red wines, native to Spain. Tickets are $60 per person, available at the Vidon Vineyard website.
Oregon Tempranillo producers will include Carlo and Julian Vineyard & Winery, Dion Vineyard, Dominio Wines, Grochau Cellars, Parra Wine Co., Raptor Ridge Winery, Stag Hollow Wines, Valcan Cellars, Varnum Vintners, and Vidon Vineyard! The event includes bites from Bar Muselet, Dos Mundos, Jory Restaurant at the Allison Inn, Tambayan Restaurant, and Uncle Troy’s BBQ, and locally produced non-alcoholic drinks including Barreled Bee “faux” toddies and Exilior Coffee.
Wine tastings should be accessible, inclusive and most of all fun! Instead of hard-to-follow explanations, learn more about what makes Oregon Tempranillo special. “Raising the Temp!” is all about sharing, learning and enjoying Oregon-produced Tempranillo and snacking on our delicious local fare.
