About this Event
The inaugural Rogue Flavor Showcase is an invitation to gather the full ecosystem of people who make Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley delicious — and celebrate products and people of this remarkable culinary and agricultural region. Growers. Chefs. Winemakers. Brewers. Fermenters. Bakers. Cider makers. Artisans. Come meet the people, hear their stories, taste and take home your new favorites!
The event is taking place on Saturday, September 5, on the grounds of the historic Bigham Knoll campus in Jacksonville — one of Southern Oregon’s most storied settings. The event is organized by the Rogue Valley Food System Network, rooted in a deep commitment to the people and producers who feed this region. What to expect:
– the best of the region’s food and beverage artisans,
– Culinary Stage filled with local chefs sharing their tips on how to turn local bounty into delicious dishes, how to preserve food and surprise our family and friends with refreshing drinks and healthy snacks
– Educational sessions – panel of experts talking about sourcing locally, preserving foods, engaging kids in the process of buying local and making food from scratch, and more
– Food trucks featuring locally sourced ingredients
– local alcohol vendors featuring our wines, brews, cider and kombucha
