Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Behind the Velvet Rope

Ashland, in Southern Oregon, is well known for its Tony-Award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival and you’ll see why at the show of your choice, but the Ashland area offers so much more.

Your grand prize stay features a wine pairing dinner led by Chef Franco Console of Larks Home Kitchen Cuisine. Larks, winner of the 2017 Oregon Wine A-List Wine Program of the Year, gathers fresh ingredients from the artisan food crafters and organic farms in the surrounding valleys, and pairs them with outstanding wines from nearby vineyards.

You and your guest will enjoy a private vineyard tour and tasting at Ashland’s newest winery, Irvine & Roberts Family Vineyards, featuring elegantly crafted Pinot noir and Chardonnay. The youth of the Irvine & Roberts label hides the talent and experience behind each bottle. Fixtures of Oregon’s wine community, Herb Quady and Robert Brittan craft the wine, while Michael Donavan, a 30-year industry veteran, shepherds the team.

A VIP tour and tasting will bring you up close with the first U.S. creamery ever awarded “World’s Best Blue Cheese.” Rogue Creamery, located in Central Point, has been making artisan cheese for more than 80 years.

During your stay you’ll recharge each night at the Ashland Springs Hotel, a downtown landmark built in 1925 and meticulously restored from basement-to-parapet in 1998. With on-site spa, award-winning restaurant, garden and more, Ashland Springs Hotel is a getaway unto itself.

To drink in the diversity of the region you will hop aboard a Wine Hopper Tour of the surrounding Rogue Valley and Applegate Valley AVAs. Home to more than 40 wineries growing dozens of grape varieties, Southern Oregon is a unique yet undiscovered growing region.

Round trip airfare will be provided on Alaska Airlines and a $100 VISA card will be included for incidentals. Enter below for your chance to win a wildly sophisticated and properly Oregonian wine and food getaway.
