About

The Northwest Wine Studies Center is the home Chemeketa Community College's Wine Studies program, including an 8-acre teaching vineyard and a fully functioning estate winery on premise. The Center also hosts Chemeketa Cellars, the student-run winery, which is open to the public for tours, tasting and wine sales. Each sip of wine from Chemeketa Cellars represents the student’s hands-on training from grapes to glass. Wine varieties include Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Viognier, Chardonnay, Riesling, red blends, sparkling and dessert wines. These student-made small-batch wines have won numerous awards at wine competitions. The Chemeketa Cellars tasting room is open February through November on Thursdays and Fridays from 3-7 pm and Saturdays from 12-5 pm. Taste through a flight of student-grown, student-made wines and sample our new charcuterie boards while enjoying the views from our covered patio.
