About

Your country winery experience, just twenty-five minutes northwest of downtown Portland and ten minutes north of high-tech Hillsboro. Our vineyards are located in the Tualatin Mountain foothills between 450’ and 650’ elevation and are among the northernmost in the Willamette Valley. Cascade and Jory soil types predominate. The Cascade soils consist of sedimentary soils deposited in the Valley by the Missoula Floods about 15,000 years ago. The Helvetia soil types consist of weathered soils deposited by the Grand Ronde basalt eruptions about 15 million years ago. Information on wine offerings, tastings, tours, picnics, and private events is available on our website, www.helvetiawinery.com.
